WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Better check the pulse of the person you’re sitting next to when you get on a plane.

A Swedish woman was refunded half her money after sitting next to a dead man during a flight.

The Expressen daily reports that Lena Pettersson haggled with Kenya Airways for months about getting some type of refund after sitting next to a corpse flying from Europe to Tanzania, according to The Local.

“Of course it was unpleasant, but I am not a person who makes a fuss,” Pettersson told the Expressen.

The paper reports the man suffered from cardiac arrest during takeoff and died a few hours into the flight.

“He was sweating and was having convulsions,” she told Sveriges Radio, according to The Local.

Pettersson was refunded $713, nearly half of what she paid for the ticket.

The man who died has not been identified.
