WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — In an effort to help citizens beat the heat, a number of pools in the District will be staying open late.
In all, the Department of Parks and Recreation has extended the hours of 14 pools in the city.
The expanded hours will run through Friday as a heatwave bakes the region. A heat advisory will remain in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday.
A complete list of pools with extended hours can be found on the DPR website.
Be sure to get the latest heat advisories and forecasts on the CBS DC weather page.
