WASHINGTON (AP) — The North American Aerospace Defense Command is conducting a training exercise over the Washington area.
NORAD says area residents can expect the flights to take place Tuesday between 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The two-day exercise being called “Falcon Virgo” began Monday. It’s designed to test NORAD’s intercept and identification operations. Air Force F-16s and a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter are participating in the exercise.
