LAUREL, Md. (CBSDC) — A man fell approximately 20 feet into a trench and needed to be rescued Tuesday morning in Laurel.
Authorities say the man, who was in his 30′s, fell into the trench around 9:45 a.m. First responders at the scene, located at 10100 Canadian Way, called for additional support to assist in the extrication.
It took nearly 30 personnel about an hour to free the man.
The man was taken by helicopter to a trauma center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The patient has not been identified.
