WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — A woman whose body was found inside a popular northeast Washington delicatessen has died, and police are investigating possible foul play.
Police spokesman Anthony Clay says officers were called about 7 a.m. Thursday to the Grace Deli for a report of an unconscious woman. June Lim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Peter Lim, the victim’s son, believes his mother’s routine may have ultimately been her undoing.
The woman, who was in her 60′s, opened the store the same way every morning for the past eight years.
“Her morning routine is to pull up and open the door halfway. Somebody must have followed her in,” her son told All-News 99.1 WNEW’s Kevin Rincon.
Lim was just one year away from retirement according to her son.
