ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Oysters, crabs, striped bass and other seafood favorites are the topic of discussion for fisheries managers meeting in Annapolis.

Fisheries managers from around the bay will discuss sustainable fisheries management on Monday and Tuesday. The meeting focuses on using science to guide management decisions across state boundaries. The meeting will bring together officials from organizations including the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, the NOAA Chesapeake Bay office and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.

Items on the agenda include improving the understanding of how land use affects fisheries.
