SUITLAND, Md. (CBSDC) - A firefighter from Prince George’s County was injured responding to a fire in Suitland.
Prince George’s County Fire spokesperson Mark Brady says 90 firefighters and medics responded to a three-alarm fire at Andrews Ridge apartment complex at 5621 Regency Park Court in Suitland, Maryland.
Heavy fire was showing from the back of the building as firefighters arrived, at which point more firefighters were called in to expel the flames.
WNEW’s Kevin Patrick reports that one firefighter was injured. Fire officials say several families have been displaced and they will have an update on his injury soon.
They say the fire appears to have started in a terrace level apartment of the three-story building. The exact cause of the fire is still unclear.
Kevin Patrick says the fire has blown through the roof of the complex.
