Two Injured, Including Firefighter, In Rockville House Fire

ROCKVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) — Two people were injured in a house fire Wednesday afternoon in Rockville.

Firefighters responded to a home on Viers Mill Rd. in the 5 p.m. hour. One man at the home was taken to the hospital after suffering non-life threatening injuries in the fire.

The fire prompted a massive response from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue who sent 55 firefighters to battled the blaze.

One firefighter was also injured while working to extinguish the fire. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

The fire blocked Veirs Mill Rd. between Broadwood Dr. and Edmonston Dr. during the height of rush hour.
