WASHINGTON (AP) — Police say a woman in a wheelchair was part of a group that struck a man in the face and robbed him in northwest Washington.
Authorities say the incident occurred about noon Monday on 6th Street near the Verizon Center in the city’s Chinatown area. Police say as the victim was walking, a man struck him in the face, reached into his pocket and took some cash. Police say the man and three other people who appeared to be with him fled.
The Washington Post reports that one of the people with him was described as a woman in a wheelchair.
