Double-Decker Tour Bus Catches Fire On I-295 In DC
WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Firefighters have put out a fire on a double-decker bus on northbound I-295 in Washington.
A spokesman for the fire department in Washington says the only person on the bus was the driver, who got out safely. Investigators were working to determine the case of the fire.
A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police Department says units arrived on the scene near the John Phillip Sousa Bridge about 1 p.m. The roads, which were closed for a time, reopened around 2:30 p.m.
