WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — A public viewing for Chuck Brown is scheduled for Tuesday, May 29 at the Historic Howard Theatre.
The viewing will be held from 11 a.m to 10 p.m. No photography of any kind will be allowed inside the theatre.
Officials strongly encourage those attending the viewing to use public transportation as parking will be very limited and many streets around the area will be closed.
The Shaw/Howard University Metro Station on the Green Line is the closest stop to the theatre.

A public memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31 at the Washington Convention Center from noon until 3 p.m.
Those attending are also strongly encouraged to take public transportation. The Mount Vernon Square/7th Street/Convention Center Metro Station on the Green and Yellow Lines stops at the location.
The legendary DC musician dubbed “The Godfather of Go-Go” passed away last week at the age of 75.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Chuck Brown Foundation, Inc. PO Box 4558, Silver Spring, MD 20914. The Chuck Brown Foundation is a Maryland nonstock corporation. It is in the process of applying for Section 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code.
