WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities say a school bus caught fire while being towed in the 3rd Street Tunnel in southwest Washington, but there have been no reports of injuries.
D.C. police spokeswoman Tisha Gant says the fire was reported about 10:30 a.m. Monday.
D.C. Fire and EMS spokesperson Lon Walls says the bus was on a tow truck when the fire broke out. He says the blaze has been brought under control.
The tunnel was closed after the incident. The southbound lanes of the tunnel were reopened about 1 p.m.
