WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Boxer Manny Pacquiao takes a right hook to President Obama’s stance on gay marriage.

The World Boxing Organization’s welterweight champion believes the president endorsing same-sex marriage is an attack on God.

“God only expects man and woman to be together and to be legally married, only if they so are in love with each other,” Pacquiao told the National Conservative Examiner.

Pacquiao, who is a member of the Philippines Congress, calls on the U.S. to uphold God’s will.

“It should not be of the same sex so as to adulterate the altar of matrimony, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah of Old,” Pacquiao told the Examiner.

Obama said Tuesday that it is “hard to say” if his endorsement of the legalization of gay marriage will hurt his chances at re-election.
