SILVER SPRING (CBSDC) — Montgomery County Police are concerned for the well being of a 23-year-old woman who may be a victim of a domestic abduction that occurred Friday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. police responded to a call from a person who observed an apparent semi-conscious female in a male subject’s Trailblazer in the 15700 block of Thompson Road.

The male driver in of the car told the witness he was taking the woman to a hospital and was last seen headed northbound towards Route 198. However, police were not able locate the woman at any of the local hospitals.

Police determined the woman in the car was Sara Ann Schum and the male driver was identified as Floyd “Boony” Powell.

Schum and Powell were previously involved in a relationship and were seen together outside of a residence on Thompson Road Friday afternoon.

Schum’s family are concerned for her welfare.

Powell, 27, is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue bandana and did not have on a shirt.

Schum, 23, is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

Powell’s vehicle is a gold 2006 Chevy Trailblazer with Maryland Tags, 3AM3261G.
