Two Dead, One In Critical Condition In Ellicott City Church Shooting

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (CBSDC) — Two women were shot inside of a church and a man was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a nearby wooded area Thursday afternoon in Ellicott City.

Howard County Police first responded to a 911 call at the Peter’s Episcopal Church in the 3500 block of Rogers Ave. after a janitor found the women around 5:20 p.m.

One of the women was pronounced dead on the scene. The other was transported Shock Trauma in critical condition.

Shortly after their arrival, authorities found the man in the woods with a gun nearby his body. Detectives are investigating whether the man was involved in the shooting of the women.

Police have not released the names of anybody involved.
