NORTH POTOMAC, Md. (CBSDC) - Two robberies, possibly related, are under investigation by the Montgomery County Police.

Detectives are now releasing two photographs of the suspected perpetrators taken at ATM locations used by the robbers to take out money from the victims’ bank accounts.

“In both incidents, vehicles were struck from behind by another vehicle while the victims were driving … on Jones Lane,” a press release from the department’s media services division.

The Robbery Section of the department’s Major Crimes Division began investigating after the first incident, which took place around 11:29 p.m. on April 3. The second robbery occurred at approximately 3:12 a.m. on April 14.

“The suspect vehicle involved in both incidents is described as a white or light-colored truck or SUV with Maryland tags,” the release added.

Anyone with information about either incident, the suspects or their vehicle should call the Robbery Section at (240) 773-5100. Anonymous tips will also be accepted by Crime Solvers of Montgomery County by calling (86) 411-TIPS (8477) or by typing “MCPD” plus the tip into a text message and sending it to the number 274637.

A $1,000 cash reward is being offered by Crime Solvers for any information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible.
