WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Lockheed Martin hosts the 2nd USA Science & Engineering Festival and Book Fair, a free, family-friendly expo that allows children and adults to participate in more than 3,000 hands-on activities and see nearly 150 live performances by science celebrities, explorers, best-selling authors, entrepreneurs and world-renowned experts.

Festival attendees will be able to walk on water, learn to cook bugs, interact with robotic fish, be entertained by a mathemagician, step aboard a spaceship, meet storm chasers, listen to alien hunters, and more.

Science-related celebrities taking part include Bill Nye, the Science Guy, MythBusters Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman and Big Bang Theorys Mayim Bialik.

Today is the second and final day of this year’s event being held at Walter E. Washington Convention Center and is open until 4PM.
