WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Bryce Harper will make his MLB debut Saturday when the Washington Nationals face the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Harper will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse where he was hitting .250. On the season with the Chiefs, Harper had four doubles, a triple, one home run and three RBIs in 72 plate appearances.

He will fill the spot left vacant by third baseman Ryan Zimmerman who will be placed on the 15-day disabled list.

The Nationals currently hold the best record in the National League (14-5) and have a two-game lead over the Atlanta Braves in their division.

First pitch at Dodger Stadium is set for 9:10 p.m.ET on Saturday. Stephen Strasburg (2-0) is expected to go against Chad Billingsley (2-1) in the contest.

The game can be heard locally on 106.7 The Fan.
