Woman Stabs 8-Week-Old Daughter At Social Services Office

BALTIMORE, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Baltimore police say a mother has stabbed her infant child in the neck at a social services building.
The 8-week-old baby girl is critically injured at a hospital, but is expected to survive.
The mother is in police custody. She was also taken to the hospital for cuts on her hands.
The woman has not yet been identified and did not have identification on her at the time of the incident according to the Baltimore Sun.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the stabbing occurred just before 10 a.m. Tuesday at a Department of Social Services building.
Detectives and child abuse investigators are continuing to investigate.
