Washington (CBSDC) – One space program’s trash is another person’s treasure.
Since the cancellation of the shuttle program NASA is teaming up with the General Services Administration, or GSA for short, to auction what can’t be used anymore.
NASA and the GSA are hoping to get some money back for the Federal government.
What’s for sale? There’s a listing “miscellaneous office furniture” such as 92 file cabinets, 82 bookcase sections and so on. There’s also a listing for a forklift that could be yours for $300.
But if you’re looking for something a little bigger you can pick up one of NASA’s buildings in either Massachusetts or Ohio that will be on sale this summer.
But if you’re getting ready to clear out space in the garage for the Space Shuttle, you’re out of luck. No shuttles will be coming up onto the auction block.
