WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Metropolitan Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of a drug store employee during a robbery.
Fifty-three-year-old Ricky Vinston of Washington was arrested early Friday and charged with assault with intent to kill while armed.
Police say on April 13, a man entered the Rite Aid store on Rhode Island Avenue in northeast, displayed a handgun and announced a robbery. The man shot an employee, who was critically injured, and then fled.
Police released a video of the incident.
