Bank Robbery In Great Falls, Suspect Still At-Large
RESTON, Va. (CBSDC) – Reston Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in Great Falls, Virginia.
Police say an armed robbery occurred at the Washington First Bank at 9851 Georgetown Pike on Wednesday, April 18 sometime just before noon.
Police say a man entered the bank, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money, at which point an undisclosed amount of cash was handed over. The suspect fled on foot.
The suspect was described as black, between the ages of 34 and 36. He was between 5-feet, 10 inches and 6-feet tall, with a slender build, and was wearing a white jacket and black rain coat at the time of the theft.
A police helicopter and K-9 units responded to check the area but did not locate the suspect.
No injuries resulted from the robbery.
