WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities say one man was killed and another was injured in separate shootings in southeast Washington.

Police say they were called to the 3300 block of 14th Place about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a shooting. Arriving officers found a man suffering from gunshot injuries to the head and back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity was not released, pending notification of his next of kin.

A short time later, police were called to a shooting in the 600 block of 53rd Street, where they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

No arrests have made in either shooting.
