WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — The Washington Redskins schedule has been released.
Washington’s 2012 schedule is highlighted by a Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas and a week-one trip to New Orleans to take on the Saints. The Redskins won’t play at FedEx Field until week-three against the Cincinnati Bengals, marking the first time since 2001 that the Redskins have been on the road for back-to-back games to start the season.
The Redskins won’t play a divisional opponent until a week-seven showdown with the Giants, strange considering that the team had opened each of the past four seasons against NFC East opponents.
Washington’s second game with New York is scheduled to be played on national television on Dec. 3rd, which as of now is the only game the Redskins are scheduled to play in prime-time.
The Redskins’ bye week is scheduled for week-10.
