Comcast SportsNet’s and Capitals play-by-play voice Joe Beninati joined the Junkies on Monday and discussed the physical series between the Caps and Boston Bruins. Surprisingly, Washington isn’t backing down from the bigger Bruins.
“I have a note on my car that says the Caps have thrown 70 hits in the first two games, and that raised an eyebrow for me because I think thats the way they have to play to win.”
“They have been right there to push back whenever Boston has done so. I think a lot of people going into the series would have believed Boston was the much more physical team…I do believe they have physical enough to get inside Boston’s head”, Beninati said.
Game 3 is tonight at the Verizon Center at 7:30. Catch it on Comcast SportsNet at 7:30
