WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Over 400,000 survey cards will be distributed to customers entering the Metrorail system from Friday, April 13, to Friday, May 25, as Metro officials seek information for planning and operational purposes.

The questionnaires will be distributed at all 86 Metro stations during the survey period and customers are asked to complete the brief questionnaire for the trip they are making when they receive the survey form.

Some customers may receive multiple surveys and are asked to complete the form each time they receive a survey as the questionnaire asks for information about the customer’s current trip. Metro will randomly select participants throughout the six week survey period and award them with free SmarTrip cards.

Customers may place the completed survey card into collection boxes near station managers’ kiosks, mail the self-addressed, pre-paid survey card, or complete the survey online using the information provided on the survey form.

“Getting this information is extremely important to us to plan improvements to our services and address growth needs,” said Metro General Manager and CEO Richard Sarles.
