TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (CBSDC) - An early morning shooting took place in Temple Hills and it involved a Prince George’s County Police Officer.
A spokesperson for the police department, Corporal Larry Johnson, confirms officers were called to the 3100 block of Good Hope Avenue at approximately 3:00 a.m. to check on a report of a domestic disturbance. 9 News Now reports there was an altercation with an officer and a suspect in the parking lot of the apartment complex, which caused the officer to fire at least one shot.
Corporal Johnson says neither the officer nor the suspect involved was injured. The officer’s name has not yet been released at this time.
This is the second shooting in less than a week involving an officer shooting. Officer Terrence Garrett shot and killed 26-year-old Michael Anthony Bailey Jr. on Monday.
