ANNAPOLIS, Md. (CBSDC) - The comptroller of Maryland, Peter Franchot is offering free tax assistance through his agency for the upcoming April 17 tax filing deadline.
Maryland residents can bring their completed federal return, W2 statements and 1099 statements or other supporting documents, along with a photo ID to the comptroller’s local offices, any time Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for assistance.
Offices are located in Annapolis, Baltimore, Cumberland, Elkton, Frederick, Hagerstown, New Carrollton/Landover, Salisbury, Towson, Upper Marlboro, Waldorf and Wheaton.
Offices will exercise extended hours on Saturday, April 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as well as Tuesday, April 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
