ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — The Virginia Department of Transportation is closing the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on I-395 overnights this week from the Potomac River to the Springfield Interchange.
V-DOT says the closures are needed to install overhead signs and complete bridge painting.
The overnight closures will occur this week from Monday through Friday nights, beginning at 9:30 p.m. and lasting until 3:30 a.m.
Drivers who use the highway are advised to expect delays of 15 to 20 minutes during peak periods.
The work is part of the 495 Express Lanes Project.
