WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Two Washington men have been convicted of murder in the 2007 slaying of a man in northeast.
Twenty-three-year-old Curtis L. McKnight was convicted Friday of first-degree murder while armed. Twenty-three-year-old Robert Pumphrey Jr. was convicted of second-degree murder while armed. They will be sentenced June 1.
According to court testimony, the two got into an altercation with 33-year-old Raynard Jennings on Oct. 9, 2007. A reason for the altercation was unclear. Pumphrey handed a gun to McKnight, who shot Jennings six times.
