WASHINGTON (AP) — Police say they have arrested two suspects in a shooting that happened outside a community center in northwest Washington where early voting was taking place.
Authorities say the two individuals were arrested after Saturday’s shooting outside the Takoma Community Center. Both were charged with assault with intent to rob while armed. One of the suspects was shot in the shoulder during the incident.
Police say a third suspect is at large.
The community center was closed for about 20 minutes after the shooting, but no voters were present when the site was shut down.
Saturday was the last day of early voting before the April 3 primary when 11 contests will be decided.
