WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Maybe he could buy the Washington Wizards to get more playing time if he wins the big prize.

In what he hopes is a slam dunk to win, rookie Chris Singleton posted on his Twitter Wednesday that he plans to spend $10,000 on the $640 million Mega Millions jackpot.

“I’m about to drop 10000 on the lottery and cross my fingers,” Singleton tweeted.

Singleton immediately received a wide range of responses from his followers. One questioned why he would spend that much on tickets when he is already rich.

“[I]f I get richer, I will change the world for the better,” Singleton responded.

Singleton later added in a tweet that he is “dedicated to making more money.”

Forbes values the Wizards at $322 million.

Singleton is averaging 4.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season for the Wizards.
