ROCKVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) — Montgomery County Police and the FBI are investigating the robbery of a M&T Bank in Rockville Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to the bank, located at 4 Courthouse Square in Rockville, shortly after the robbery occurred around 10:10 a.m.

A suspect entered the bank and immediately vaulted the teller counter and ordered bank employees to open the teller drawers. The tellers complied, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot after jumping back over the counter.

Police described the suspect as a black male, roughly 6-feet tall with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, gloves and possibly a Washington Redskins jacket. He also covered his face with a stocking.

Authorities were able to obtain a photo of the suspect from the the bank’s surveillance system.

Anyone with information about robbery or recognizes the suspect is asked to call police at 240-773-5103. Callers can remain anonymous by dialing Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).

Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
