UPDATE: Man Convicted of Child Abuse of 12-Year-Old Woodbridge Girl

UPDATE

Carriveau entered a guilty plea on lesser charges of felony child abuse and reckless disregard of life on Jan. 22, 2013. Under terms of the plea agreement, he was given a three-year suspended jail sentence and three years of supervised probation.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (CBSDC) — Prince William County Police arrested 26-year-old Jonathan Carriveau for the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl.

Authorities responded to a residence in the 4500 block of Kentland Drive in Woodbridge around 11:25 p.m. on March 25 for a report of a domestic incident.

It was at that time the victim told police she had been sexually assaulted by Carriveau, who she knew, inside the home.

Carriveau has been charged with aggravated sexual battery and abduction. He is currently being held without bond.
