Ridership was up 6.1 percent overall for the same time period last year. The Camden Line showed the biggest increase of 7.9 percent. The Penn Line showed a 6.7 percent improvement and the Brunswick Line showed a 3.2 percent increase.

The MTA also set an overall record last month with an average weekday ridership of 414,867 across the system, topping the high from September 2008 of 411,785.
