Viral Video Circulating Internet Involves A Fight At A Howard County High School
COLUMBIA, Md. (CBSDC) – A new viral video that was taken at an area high school Wednesday is circulating the internet.
The video captures a fight between a student and a non-student while others watch outside of Long Reach High School in Columbia, Maryland.
The Baltimore Sun reports an adult male came on the school premises around 2:15 p.m., immediately confronting a male junior student outside of the school’s main doors.
The confrontation reportedly was brought on because of a recent teasing incident involving a female student, in which she was taunted by other students and had french fries thrown at her.
The fight in the video only lasted a few seconds after the the male student in the light shirt, provoked and swung at first by the non-student male wearing the blue shirt, defended quickly and effectively, throwing a punch at his attacker immediately dropping the assailant to the ground.
Shortly thereafter after, another tussle breaks out between several surrounding students, but is quickly broken up by school administrators.
School officials say the male student who was provoked was merely defending himself and will not have charges pressed against him, although they say other assault charges will be administered.
