ANNAPOLIS, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is scheduled to campaign in Maryland this week.

John Porter, a spokesman for the Maryland Republican Party, said Monday that former Gov. Robert Ehrlich and Maryland Team Romney will be sponsoring two events.

The first is set for Wednesday in Ehrlich’s hometown of Arbutus, where a town hall forum is scheduled with Romney. Ehrlich is the chairman of Romney’s Maryland campaign.

The second event is a rally in Frederick from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Republican presidential candidates will be competing for 37 Maryland delegates in their bid to win the GOP nomination.

Maryland’s primary is scheduled for April 3. Early voting begins Saturday

The District will also hold their primary on April 3.
