WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — The Washington Redskins have lined up a visit with cornerback Aaron Ross.
The former New York Giant will be visiting with the team on Friday a league source confirmed to 106.7 The Fan’s Grant Paulsen.
The Cincinnati Bengals will get first crack at the free agent, however. Ross is scheduled to visit the home of WKRP on Thursday.
Last season the 29-year-old Ross posted a career-year during en route to earning his second Super Bowl ring. He started 15 games, picking off four passes and defending 12 others. He also recorded 60 tackles.
The Giants selected him with the 20th overall pick in the 2007 draft out of the University of Texas where he won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top collegiate defensive back as a senior.
