RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Richmond man who gained notoriety for pulling his T-shirt over his face during a series of armed robberies has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.
Twenty-nine-year-old Ryan O. Jones also was ordered Friday in federal court in Richmond to pay more than $17,000 in restitution to his victims.
Prosecutors say Jones was known as the “T-shirt bandit,” covering his face during robberies he admitted to at seven Richmond convenience stores from March 2010 to May 2011.
