Super Tuesday Guide: State By State Results And Delegates Available

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — 10 states, including Virginia, held primaries on Super Tuesday.

And while voter turnout in the Commonwealth was sluggish thanks to a projected Mitt Romney runaway and only two names on the ballot, there were still nine other states to be decided.

The delegates were awarded proportionally, meaning second place finishers at the polls also received a share of the bounty, in each of the states up for grabs Tuesday.

Polls in three states, including Virginia, closed at 7 p.m. ET. Ohio began turning away voters at 7:30 p.m.

Others follow–sweeping east to west–until Alaska wrapped up their voting at 12 a.m. ET.
