WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Graham Gano is having a good week. Not only did the kicker receive a tender offer from the Washington Redskins, but rehab on his injured back is going very well.

Gano sustained two fractures in his lower back while attempting to make a tackle following a blocked field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles in the final game of the season.

He managed to stay in the game.

Gano initially delayed returning to his home state of Florida in order to receive treatment on his back following the season’s close.

The kicker said he received one clean bill of health and was hoping to get a second in the near future.

Under terms of Gano’s tender, he is unable to negotiate with other teams.

In other Redskins news, the team also placed their franchise tag on Fred Davis and tendered offensive lineman Kory Lichtensteiger on Friday.

why we keep this bum everyyear is beyond me, he never makes clutch kicks under pressure not to mention all the kickoffs he kicks out of bounds last year giving other teams the ball on the 40 yard line at least once a game. HORRIBLE! he never makes anything over 50 and if its a game winning fg forget it he won’t make it. I HATE THIS KICKER
