Beltway Construction In Virginia To Cause Lane Closures, Traffic For Mid-Day Commute

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — Officials in Virginia are suggesting drivers find alternates routes if possible for parts of this week to avoid construction delays on the Capital Beltway in the Alexandria area.

Lane closures will occur Tuesday through Thursday for ongoing construction associated with the Woodrow Wilson Bridge project.

On Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., one of two through lanes on the Beltway’s inner loop will be closed near Telegraph Road.

And on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane on the outer loop will close from the Eisenhower Connector to Telegraph Road. Two lanes will be closed on that same stretch of the outer loop overnight on Tuesday through Thursday.
