WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Jeopardy! is coming to D.C.
The popular game of answers and questions hosted by Alex Trebek will tape its Power Players Week at DAR Constitution Hall on Saturday, April 21.
The list of celebrities that will make up the tournament field is being kept under wraps for now. However, a press release did confirm political figures, authors, journalists and newsmakers will be among those competing.
Power Players Week will air nationally May 14-18.
Past participants in the competition include U.S. Senator / comedian Al Franken, former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer and famed Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward.
The winner of the tournament will receive a $50,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
In addition, Jeopardy! will also take the semifinal and final matches of its annual Teen Tournament on Friday, April 20.
The Teen Tournament will air over a two weeks beginning April 30.
Tickets to the television tapings are free, but those interested in attending must fill out an application at an D.C.-area branches of My Eye Doctor or Passport Auto beginning Friday, February 24.
