WHEATON-GLENMONT, Md. (CBSDC) — A 20-year-old man was stabbed at McDonald’s in the Glenmont Shopping Center in Wheaton around 2:20 Wednesday afternoon.
After sustaining the injury, the man stumbled to a nearby CVS where authorities were notified.
One witness at the location told WNEW’s Cameron Thompson it appeared the victim was stabbed in the lower region of his back. First responders wrapped the man’s mid section with bandages at the location.
“He was rubbing against window. . . gyrating a little bit,” another witness told Thompson. “At first I didn’t know what was going on. I thought he was drunk or something.”
Officers were able to speak with the victim before he was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
A motive for the stabbing is unclear and no suspect descriptions were provided.
An update on the victim’s condition was not immediately available.
