WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro is using the Presidents Day long weekend to do maintenance on the orange and red lines, with free shuttle buses replacing trains in two places.
Metro says that on the orange line buses will replace trains between Rosslyn and Virginia Square through Monday. Customers traveling through the work zone should expect 20 to 30 minute delays.
In addition, on the red line, buses will replace trains between Medical Center and White Flint. Customers traveling through that work zone should also expect delays of 20 to 30 minutes.
No work is planned on the blue, green and yellow lines. Trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule through Monday.
