WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia officials are partnering with the federal government to give aid to small businesses.
Mayor Vincent Gray and other local and federal officials will detail the pilot program at a news conference Friday.
Under the partnership, the district plans to steer local businesses toward participation in a federal program for businesses in underutilized areas. Businesses that participate can get preferential treatment in federal contracting.
