WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — D.C. police are investigating a shooting death near the Lincoln Memorial as an apparent suicide.
The victim was found in West Potomac Park on Sunday morning.
Police received multiple calls about the shooting around 8 a.m. according to NBC 4.
A police spokesman says there are no signs of foul play, so officers believe the death to be a suicide. The death remains under investigation.
Metropolitan Police are leading the investigation, WNEW has confirmed.
