NEW CARROLLTON, Md. (CBSDC) — A vigil for a 16-year-old shooting victim turned into a crime scene of its own Friday night in New Carrollton.

One man was shot in the 5200 block of 85th Avenue as he attended a vigil for Chris Smith who was killed on Monday.

Somebody ran into the crowd and shot an adult male according to 9News Now’s Ken Molestina. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A motive for the shooting is unclear.

Prince George’s County Police do not have a suspect in custody.
