BETHESDA, Md. (CBSDC) — A man died Wednesday afternoon after he was struck by his own vehicle in Bethesda.
Authorities say the 36-year-old contractor was working in a residential area on the 5300 block of Albermarle St. when he was pinned between his pickup truck and a stone wall around 2:25 p.m. Police believe he may have been trying to stop his truck from rolling at the time.
The vehicle was reportedly on a slope when the accident occurred.
The truck traveled only a couple house lengths before pinning the man according to authorities.
As light rain fell, residents in the area told WNEW’s Matt DelSignore that the road can be dangerous when precipitation is present.
The street remains closed while authorities continue to investigate the incident.
