The Washington Wizards escaped the Verizon Center with a 111-108 overtime victory against the Toronto Raptors Monday night, but it was center JaVale McGee who made headlines for the wrong reason once again.
During the 3rd quarter, McGee missed a running skyhook and immediately sprinted down to the other end to play defense with his head down. However, the Wizards got the offensive rebound and stood around staring at JaVale waiting for him to come back.
On “The Mike Wise Show with Holden Kushner” Tuesday, Wizards interim head coach Randy Wittman was asked about the play, and his reaction is priceless.
Wittman also covered other topics with Mike and Holden, including the Wizards’ win Monday night, John Wall’s development and more.
